I use a Mac and want to use file aliases to link files in my Dropbox to the research folder in Scrivener. The reason for this is the files are numerous and some are quite large (videos and images). The use of aliases will alleviate the need to import them and hence duplicate them within my Scrivener file.
To complicate things a little further, I am using Scrivener on both my home and work computer. Will my aliases still work on the ‘other’ computer, my Dropbox is identical on both computers, the name of the account in the path may be different. I will test this next week when I am back in work but wanted to start populating my research folder before then and don’t want to waste a lot of time doing something that I later find wont work.
