Using Scrivener with Google Drive

I made an assumption that using Drive is the same or similar to using Dropbox. However, when I save a project to Drive from my MacBook and try to open it on my Air, I get an error message that some of the /Files, /Files/Docs or /Settings folders cannot be found. What am I missing?

Google Drive doesn’t seem to support Scrivener’s package format as well as Drobpox and some other sync services do. We have an advisory about working with it. If you prefer to stick with Google Drive, I suggest the alternative method explained in this article, where you’re only keeping the zipped copies in the sync folder.

thank you for your reply! I think that I will rely on Dropbox, rather than wrestle with Drive.
