Viewing problem on Nook for Epub file

I recently purchased Scrivener (which I love) but have a weird problem.

I wrote a file that I compiled and put onto my Nook. Some words are being hyphenated, but the part of the word after the hyphen is cut off. It doesn’t happen to all words, but does to a few. As an example:

“Addy’s smile faded a bit as he regarded his counselors.”

When looking at the page itself, the words show, “Addy’s smile faded a bit as he regarded his coun-”

But if I do a search the words appear normally, as they should. This isn’t the only place it has happened, there’s a few others that we noticed today.

Any thoughts about what might be causing this and, more importantly, how I can fix it?

Thank you for your time,

Will

I have noticed this with other e-books as well on the Nook. It seems to me that the hyphenation isn’t always working correctly, they sometimes appear in the middle of the paragraph and add spaces or omit letters like you say. Whatever the case, hyphenation is purely display-time—it’s not baked into the ePub format.
