I actually already wrote a big, long welcome message and then accidentally deleted it because I had to move these forums over to another location. (I also apologise to jcomas, who had already registered, for having deleted his membership in the process…)
The reason for the move is that Literature & Latte is Scrivener’s new, permanent home. The next beta release should hopefully be ready towards the end of the summer. In the meantime, you will be able to find news about development both here and on my blog at lit-n-lat.blogspot.com.
I would be very happy if people want to use these forums not only for Scrivener-related issues, but also to discuss writing, reading or literature in general. The option is there, at least.
I will be locking the old, beta forums down so that no one can post there. Unfortunately I am unable to move old posts and memberships over to this new forum, as Proboards (who I used for the old forum) don’t make the back-up data that I would need to do so available.
Keith, the official web site for Scrivener looks great. And I also like the history of the project that you have posted in your blog. Keep up the good work. I’m looking forward to participate in any way in the new version of Scrivener.
Wow … I guess I had good timing! I decided I wanted to do some Scrivening this week and knew my Beta had expired. A trusty Google search for the app update location and I find a whole new place!
Good to see things are still going strong, Keith. I’ve been unable to write anything for some time now, and can’t wait to get using Scrivener again, even if it is still “just” the Beta – it’s great!
Beautiful site, and–as another has said–appearing at just the right time for me: just last week I started using Scrivener seriously, for the first time, on a big project, and it is even better than my initial cursory look had suggested. I’ll look forward to visiting here and pitching in my suggestions. Meantime, congratulations.
I agree with all the others. Thanks KB, for the great Beta and for another place on the internet to visit. I’m a reading, writing, pepsi drinking, taoutologist that reads and writes…and drinks pepsi. So, this is the place for me.
Looks great Keith. I been a little too busy filing my nose down at the “day job” to do much writing but still fire up Scrivener every now and again just to get that warm, fuzzy feeling. Thanks for all the hard work!
