WeSeWriMo anybody?

Hi guys,

I’m doing WeSeWriMo this year. It’s a kind of NaNo spin off, where people write a web serial for a month.

It isn’t nearly as challenging as NaNo, mostly because you can set your own goal, and even if you produced a post a day, given the natural limits of reading something on a screen, your daily total would probably not stray much further than 1000 words, meaning a monthly total of 31,000 words.

It seems like a good idea for people still intimidated by the idea of NaNo, if you can get past the epiguide website, which isn’t the best designed in the world.

I must have gone insane to be doing this as well as everything else and get medical treatment all in one go. Still, here I am, so if anybody else is doing it or tempted, let me know. It’s always nice to know you’re not alone when you subject yourself to online writing torture!

I should probably start with baby steps. Is there a HaikuWriMo?

‘cuz them don’t got to
make no sense at all, y’ see?
noway 'n nohow.

Dat ain no HaikuWriMo? Dats HicksvilleWriMo

An’ a mo’fo’ fo’ sho’! :stuck_out_tongue:

And that was GangstaWriMo!

evatink, jus blown in da wind, babes…init…jus ablown in da wind.

There should be a haiku wrimo. I follow a bunch of folks on Twitter who are brilliant at it. A haiku a day for thirty days: a lot less intimidating than Nano!

Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don’t make sense
Refrigerator

Ok, so i have to go WAY OFF TOPIC for this (I know, huge surprise).

My son has decided to race homing pigeons (don’t ask). We have a great mentor who is helping us out. He happens to be a bachelor so we have club meetings at his house. Wednesday we attended our first meeting and we needed more creamer for coffee. So I go to the fridge in the kitchen to find 14 milk gallons filled with pigeon water (supplements, antibiotics, etc). One of the guys noticed my confused looks and says “he keeps the human stuff out in the garage”.

As much as i hate to disappoint you Ioa, your haiku make perfect sense to me after that experience.

And this is way off topic too, in another direction, but that would make a fantastic writing prompt!

I think Brian Evenson uses that one. Frequently.
