OK then, let’s do it here. I haven’t checked everything, but here’s what I noticed.
First and very important. The first thing I noticed :
Script writing: whenever a character (somebody, not a letter) appears, it must not be “caractère”, but “personnage”.
When a document is duplicated the word “copier” is added at the end. It should be “copie”.
Two menus that are not technically wrong, but don’t use the usual software wording.
Modifier -> Édition
Afficher -> Affichage
In menus:
Modifier/Copy special (not translated) -> I suggest Copie spéciale
Modifier/Terminer -> Compléter
Modifier/Rechercher/Chercher suivant -> Rechercher le suivant
Modifier/Rechercher/Chercher précédent -> Rechercher le précédent
Modifier/Rechercher/Remplacements dans le projet… -> Remplacer dans le projet…
Modifier/Rechercher/Chercher un résumé… -> Rechercher dans un résumé…
Afficher/Inspecter -> Inspecteur
Documents/Ouvrir/Dans Éditeur -> Dans l’éditeur
Documents/Ouvrir/Dans Autre éditeur -> Dans un autre éditeur
Documents/Doublon -> Dupliquer
Documents/Modifier l’icône/Lutrin -> Pupitre
Documents/Modifier l’icône/Tube à essai -> Éprouvette
Documents/Modifier l’icône/Relais -> I don’t know what it’s supposed to be originally. If it’s another kind of flag, let’s say Pavillon ?
Format/Police/Biffer -> Biffé
Format/Police/Crénage -> Espacement /or/ Espacement des caractères
Format/Police/Crénage/Reserrer -> Resserrer
Format/Police/Crénage/Délier -> Desserrer
Format/Police/Ligne de base -> Position
Format/Police/Ligne de base/Plus bas -> Descendre
Format/Texte/Justifier -> Justifié
Format/Mise en forme/ if you want to use the same words word processors use, use “style” instead of “préréglage”.
Format/Ecriture de script -> see my first remark.
Right-click menu on documents:
Doublon -> Dupliquer
The Label and Status menus are not translated. Label is “Étiquette” and Status is “Statut”. I’m not sure about how to translate the statuses and labels.
Ouvrir/Dans Autre éditeur -> Dans un autre éditeur
Regrouper -> Grouper
There may be other things. But thanks for having made the effort to translate Scrivener.
