is there an easy way to coax my avatar to return?
Well, the problem is that your avatar was hosted on Geocities. As of last week, Geocities is no more. If you have the original image you can put it up on google (picassa) or some other site. If you have no other sites, let me know and I can help you get something up and running.

Hi laurel,
If you have gmail, you’ll have access to Picassa (the link will say “Photos” up in the top menu on your gmail, perhaps in the “More” dropdown). It’s free and it’s great.
Just upload you avatar there and you’ll be ready to go again.
Not sure about the daily tips - perhaps someone else knows (I didn’t know there were daily tips. I’m always the last to know).

Just because I am slower than molasses in a New York January, are you saying that you do not have the original image on your hard disk somewhere? I just want to make sure that I understand that part.
Hi all Avatars Scrivener’s and Nano’s
I will look for Picasso, and after I find him I then find a new image; yes the old Avatar vanished, utterly, at this moment, anyway. I will see if I can conjure a new Avatar with the help of PIcasso, and then Picasso and Scrivener, I assume, will be in communication. I will introduce Picasso and Scrivener, or I will try to, if they are not already allies, and with Picasso’s help the New Avatar will live on the Scrivener site?
Is this almost understanding what you suggested?
I can not figure out how to get the daily Scrivener tips, so I guess I won’t get them. Dang it.
I so want to get to the next level of using the wonders of Scrivener.
