# Windows 7 Trouble Downloading

I tried to download, but it didn’t seem to take. So I uninstalled previous Scrivener per advice on forum and tried again. Same thing. Help! There’s nothing Scrivener, so I don’t know how to open my books-in-progress.

When you said it “didn’t take,” what exactly is happening? Can you surf to the folder you downloaded it into and run the program there? Are you installing it from an administrator account? Is your virus/malware software blocking it?

I changed my security settings and that worked. Thanks! 😃
