Windows-based program like Scrivener with scriptwriting?

Hi, I’m a new Scrivener user and I am so thrilled with it. It’s completely transformed (and made so much more enjoyable) my writing process. Thank you!!!

But most of my writing friends are PC users and scriptwriters, and have no possibility of using Scrivener. I wanted to recommend PageFour, but could not find any reference to scriptwriting or a “script” mode, which is ONE of the many reasons I find Scrivener invaluable.

Does anyone know of a Windows-based program that is even remotely like Scrivener and with a scriptwriting mode?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for the kind words about Scriv! In terms of a Windows program that has a scriptwriting mode, I think RoughDraft is probably the best bet:

Sadly, it seems the developer has ceased development (although it is free), so there won’t be any future updates. I got the idea for being able to switch between regular mode and screenplay mode in Scrivener from RoughDraft in the first place, in fact, as I used to use it a little back in my Windows days.

All the best,
Keith
