Wish to Compile Entirely Single Spaced

How do I compile a document so that the entire output is single spaced, including between paragraphs? I’m getting a space between every “paragraph” even though I have not inserted any returns into the Scrivener draft. Sorry, I just can’t find instructions for this. Thx, kraml. Windows Version 1.2.3.0.

In the “Formatting” pane of compile (click the blue arrow button in compile if necessary to see the full options) you can set the override formatting for the various document types and levels in your project. Click the relevant row in the table, e.g. the document Level 1+, and then click the “Modify” button to bring up the formatting tools and a sample of the text elements you can modify (what shows here depends on what elements are selected to include in compile, such as a title, notes, just the document text, etc.). In the spacing pop-up menu choose “More…” so that you can see the paragraph spacing as well as the line spacing and make sure that is set to 0.

The “Separators” pane in compile deals with how the different documents in your binder are stitched together during the compile process, so if you’re also concerned about the spacing between documents, take a look at those settings. You may want “Single Return” in some cases rather than “Empty Line” if you’re trying to get documents to flow together seamlessly.

Separators! Thank you, MM! kraml
