Word/Character Counting in Asian Languages

Is there a way that Scrivener can count Chinese/Japanese correctly? In several Asian languages we do not have spaces between words, so I intend to count by characters. However, those punctuation marks are also counted, which normally are not considered as ‘word’ in our language.

Any way to make a filter list containing ‘:,、。?“”’… to help Scrivener count better?

There is not a way to do this now, but we do have it on our list to figure out how we could better support these languages. Excluding punctuation marks might be part of that, or a separate option, depending how we can work this.
