Word Count - Document Start to a given scene

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there’s a way for Scrivener to give the word count from the document start to a given point in the text?

For example, I’ve written a story with 20 scenes, but I’m working on my pacing. So I go to scene 10 to learn the word count up to that point.

Anyone know how?

You can do this by selecting the scenes whose count you’re adding up and then using Project > Project Statistics to check the Selection word count. So in this case, you’d select scenes 1-10 in the binder and then open Project Statistics to get the word count of those ten documents. The “Options” tab in the Statistics window will let you adjust what’s included in the word count.
