Ignoring the problem (stop complaining, really?) solves nothing.
I’m not a beta tester for the software. I’m a user.
Your advice to shut down the thread (stop complaining, really???) – you have nothing worthwhile to contribute here.

That is not what I am saying.
What I mean is that what you are doing is like not voting to later complain about the election result.
You say the issue as a long trail, but yet, well, but yet that’s all. You say it and that’s it?
I’ll rebuild it from scratch WITH you in ten minutes via Zoom, if you like. I don’t guarantee that will fix it, but it’s worth a try.
If you’re willing to share a project demonstrating the issue, you can do so by opening a support ticket, here:
That’s the best way to reach the development team, and therefore the best way toward a permanent solution to the problem. All that anyone in the forum (including me) can offer is workarounds.
Thank you, drmajorbob. But no. I will live with my artificial fix.
I will have to edit out the “LAST PAGE” text that comes up in the last page before I send the PDF out. Not the end of the world.
I created the original comment when I saw other people had the same problem with PDF compiles and I thought I had a helpful solution.
Now I was told to pretend it doesn’t exist because I don’t have the patience to wrestle with the software once again.
Thank you, kewms. I will do as you suggest.
Ok:
1- That is not what I said.
2- I am not affiliated to LL. I am just a user.
As Kewms said, we’re all mostly users, here. None of us can actually fix the software. And even that takes time. We offered all we could as far as a workaround goes.
You had good intentions, ok. You offered your workaround, that’s great.
If you are not interested in a fix other than the one you offered (thanks), then fine. But then no need (or point) to press that this is an old issue.
As a zip backup.
…
The symptom is an old issue, but we don’t know whether the cause of it is.
Both the email and the form go to the same place. No need to use both.
Please be sure that the relevant Compile format is saved as part of the project. We’ll need that for troubleshooting, too.
kewms, I’m getting a problem because the file is too big. I’m trying to send it via Mac’s Mail Drop. But also getting an error. Is there another way to send you the file
File size: 85.2 mb
PDF size: 1.6 mb
The compile I use is the collection: Book 1 2023
You could put everything involved in a folder and send a Dropbox (or other sync service) link to that folder. I think Literature & Latte would be fine with that.
Upload it to the file sharing service of your choice and send a link instead. Or strip the project down so that it’s smaller – we don’t need Research files, for example – confirm the smaller project still fails, and send that.
The Compile Format – the settings for the Compile command – is also relevant.
I may not be the person handling the ticket, so please include relevant details like the Collection in your email as well.
Thank you. I have included a DropBox link in the Scrivener form request.
Best,
John
