writing direction shortcut

Dear KB and the S2 team,

Could we have a shortcut to change the writing direction, like the one we had in S1?

I am forever going back and forth between western languages and Hebrew and the keyboard shortcut (it used to be f13) saved me a lot of time!

BTW, I am really enjoying S2!

ps If there is an easy way to add my own shortcut, I would happily do that instead.

You can add/change the keyboard command for any menu item in any Mac app via your Mac’s system preferences. It is under Keyboard preferences. Prior to Snow Leopard you need to redraft the app to see the change take effect.

do you possibly know the way to type the application command in the shortcuts window?

I have tried
Format>Text>Writing Direction>Right to Left
and
Format/Text/Writing Direction/Right to Left
and
Format… Text… Writing Direction… Right to Left
and
Format,Text,Writing Direction,Right to Left
but none of them work - and i obviously have no idea how to do it the right way!

okay, i truly am an idiot.

by “use the exact menu item as it appears in the menu” it did not mean put in the whole path!

the correct answer is “Right to Left”
