Writing numbers

Hi all

Just starting now with Scrivener and one thing I would like to know if it’s possible, regarding writing numbers.
when I type XIXe Century for instance I would like that the “e” appears at the top not at the bottom after last X.
Is there a way to do this, I think but not sure that this way is used in french (which is the language I write in Scrivener) and the other way used by scrivener by default is english way so “e” at the bottom. ?

Thanks for your reply

Hi,

You can use superscript for this (Format > Font > Baseline > Superscript). You may need to reduce the font size too. At the moment, Scrivener can do this sort of thing automatically for “th” and “st” following a number in English, but not for other languages - this is something I’d be interested in adding in a future update, but I need to research it being an ignorant Englishman with little knowledge of other languages.

Thanks and all the best,
Keith

Thanks Keith

That’s what I thought, it’s a specificity of my language

As I write on a subject (history) in which this format is common to design dates I was hopping to have a solution but wasn’t sure it exist…

On the other hand as what I am writing is dedicated to be on the web through a web site I don’t think anyway that this manner of writing numbers is possible too… then the english way seems to be the way.
