Zoom Reset request

Hi,

Colour coding related snippets of text, while I build a narration for video, is a handy trick to get an immediate impression of the relative lengths of different parts of the text when zooming out.

However, zooming out fully makes my text ‘ribbon’ hug the left-hand edge of the screen. Then, when I click ‘Reset’ to get back to a different place from the where I initiated the zoom.

I would really appreciate it if Reset would take note of where I am when I start zooming out and then take me back to that exact spot.

Scapple is invaluable.

Kind regards,

Joachim

[Mod note: moved to Mac Tech Support from Beta testing]

Might it be easier to use the QuickZoom feature for this? With that method you hold down the Z key for as long as you wish to examine the big picture, and then let go with you are done. It is the same as using Zoom to Fit and then resetting the zoom, with two important differences: (a) it restores the prior zoom level rather than default, and (b) it zooms back to wherever you point with your mouse, which addresses the main problem you’re having with the manual zooming tools.

Thanks for the hint! It’ll do fine as a stop-gap measure, until…

Kind regards,

Joachim
