You can ctl-shift-a inline annotation on. But I can’t seem to turn it off after annotating by clicking the hotkeys or selecting the menu option. One can click outside the annotation to shift to text mode, but if an annotation is right above regular text the annotation will continue expanding line by line with additional carriage-returns. No clear way to turn it off and insert new plain text above where inline annotation is present.
I’m encountering this problem also; inline annotation is a roach motel. Sure we can copy the contents out into Notepad and back in again; but does anyone know a command-based method to convert an inline annotation back to formatted, unannotated document text?
