A question on the 2016 limit for Beta testing.

Does anyone know if LitNLat are going to allow us to purchase the Scrivener even if they are not out of open beta then? If not will they prolong the beta period?

Getting things right takes time, and I understand with their other, possibly more profitable, projects that their time is limited. So, this isn’t one of those why aren’t you done posts. I just want to ensure that my workflow will not get interrupted come the end of next year if things happen to not pan out for perfection.

If they’re not done with the beta, then there will be another version out before then. They’re good about it. There was only one lapse of about 12 hours due to time differences between the UK, Australia, and other parts of the world, but it was quickly fixed.

That is good to know. =D Thank you for the response. I’m debating moving my entire workflow over to Linux and Scrivener is an integral part of that workflow.

The Windows version of Scrivener works amazingly well on WINE so if you’re worried about the beta expiring you could always install the windows version.

While this is true I do not enjoy working with Wine. It is a pain in the ass for me. I suppose it’s just the steep learning curve involved for some folks. Granted, it is an option though if it becomes needed.
