I don’t know if this is the right board to post this in, so I apologize if it isn’t. I tried downloading the new update of Scrivener, and a pop up said there was a bug and it couldn’t finish. When I opened my project, this popped up every time I tried to write/delete anything. It also showed up when I tried to close the project.
It didn’t effect any other projects (opened them and no popup) and I was able to copy the text of that file to a new one no problem. It finally let me close it after multiple tries, but I wanted to throw this issue out there and see if anyone has any answers. I’m a little leery now, I don’t want this to be a reoccurring problem.
Okay it seems that the problem has popped up again. And Scrivener isn’t letting me backup anything to zip files. If someone has any answers, that would be great.
EDIT: Now I’m having a host of problems. I have no idea what’s going on here, so here’s some more screenshots.

It’s either your antivirus or improper installation.
Try to run Scrivener in administration as administrator.
If it doesn’t help, try turning off your antivirus temporary, and rerun it as admin.
This seems to be an install error, or it could be a permissions issue combined with an install error. I would download the latest 1.98 version and uninstall and re-install. If that doesn’t fix it you should call tech support. I assume that Scrivener is using an installer called bitrock and that is where you are getting your errors, so the errors are from a bad install or something else entirely.
