How do I add page numbers to epub?

You don’t. The epub reader can change both font, font size, margins and line spacing and doesn’t need page numbers. The user get that information if one tap the screen on the epub reader.

Or they don’t. It all depends on the Epub reader you have. The one I use shows percentage of the book read, never page numbers. It also shows the time left to finish the chapter at my current reading rate, and the time to finish the book. Another reader I’ve used shows pages, but changes them if I change the font size or line spacing.
