Add strikethrough button to format bar?

Is it possible to add a strikethrough button to the format bar?

The format bar can’t be edited, but if you have a laptop with a touch bar, it can be added to that via View > Customize Touch Bar. Another idea is to create a character style with the strikethrough; you could then keep open the styles panel while you’re working to quickly apply it similar to using a format bar icon.

Also, the keyboard shortcut is cmd+shift+hyphen, which is natural (to me) and easy to adjust to.
