I am wondering what the best way is to share my novel with my editor? I don’t really want to export to Word and then have to do all their changes separately. I was looking for an “Add user” option so they could go in and make editorial notes but I don’t see it.
You can simply email the whole project if you want. You can email a project by using the File → Backup → Backup To command, and checking the box to create a ZIP backup.
What format does the editor use, though? If they’re not already a Scrivener user, they probably won’t appreciate getting a Scrivener project.
Oh. I was really hoping there was a way for shared users to join the project. I made sure that I asked the editors I interviewed if they used Scrivener. Is there a good video that looks at what the editing features look like in Scrivener? I can’t find one.
Your Scrivener projects are not resident in the “cloud,” unless you put them there. So asking users to “join the project” isn’t really a meaningful action.
Scrivener’s editing features are very extensive. What specific kind of feedback are you looking for? Developmental edits? Copyediting? Somewhere in between?
