Adding Chapters/Scenes

I’m making an attempt to write a novel and I’ve got the first chapter completed, but I can not figure out how to start subsequent chapters. Does anyone have any idea about how to do this?
Thanks…I’m on Windows by the way.

Ctrl-N will create a new text file in your binder, which will contain the scene/chapter text you write. You can also right-click in your binder and choose the same option.

Did you run through the tutorial? It’s been a while since I looked at it, but I’m pretty sure it gives some good direction about how to do what you’re looking for.

To add a chapter: click on “Draft” or whatever is the name for your entire project in the Binder. Then click on the small icon below the Binder that has a plus sign over the icon of a folder.

To add a scene: click on the chapter in the Binder where you want your scene. Then click on the small icon below the Binder that has a plus sign over the plain icon that looks like a piece of paper.

Once you have your new chapter or scene in the Binder, if it’s in the wrong place, you can click on it and use the large up and down arrows on the menu bar at the top to move it into place. If you want to turn a scene into a chapter or vice versa, you can use the arrows pointing left or right.

You can also drag and drop, but when I did that I was always putting things where I didn’t want them and then having to hunt around to find them.
