AI Driven Word Tracker?

Hi, I was thinking that some kind of AI powered word tracker would be cool. Something that can track edited words, added words, total words, new words, deleted words, etc automatically and compiles it into easy to read graphs and stats.

I donā€™t know why software would need ā€œartificial intelligenceā€ for that particular kind of tracking,[1] itā€™s a simple matter of comparing A to B and seeing what is different, which has been a solved problem for decades. We tap into such tools, and provide a front-end for it with the Snapshots comparison feature.

Take a snapshot, edit your text, then click the Compare button with it selected in the inspector sidebar (may want to change the settings to word by word if that is what you prefer).

That is my personal preference for tracking changes, though I also use the General: Saving option to take snapshots when pressing Ctrl+S / āŒ˜S to manually save. That way I get a much more detailed record of changes without having to think too much about taking them first.

Otherwise there is the revision mode feature in the Format menu, for those that prefer to mark changes made while editing, rather than retroactively.

  1. Never mind that such things require unfathomably expensive warehouses of machines; this isnā€™t the sort of thing your laptop can do. ā†©ļøŽ
