Is there a forum in French that I may have lost track of… I am quite noob ! Hi. I’m reinstalling Scrivener (which I love). I need to search through all my backups for the latest version of my 24-chapter book ! Question: when I open a book, all the words in each chapter are underlined in red. Why is this, and how can I fix it ? Is it my Windows 10’s fault or my poor understanding of the options?
Here I am again, begging for help… After a massive snowstorm while I was working on my PC, it completely crashed due to a power outage that lasted for hours! OMG. I’m currently rebuilding it (it’s been days of work).
Salut.

Hi,
The reason why the whole of your text is underlined in red is that you have the function to check spelling activated in the options, and that, on top of that, you also have the wrong dictionnary loaded.
If you can’t see the right language/dictionnary listed when clicking “Select”, you then have to download it first. (The smallest of my two blue arrows.)

Hi again. Your solution was very effective; it immediately corrected the situation I was in. Everything is back to normal; my spell checker wasn’t using French. Thank you so much. P.S. I’m not quite sure how to close this question; I’m not familiar with help groups. It doesn’t matter if the group is in English, I’ll get used to it.
I couldn’t find anything useful in any document about Scrivener; I probably lacked knowledge!

Glad I could help.
You don’t. Just leave it as it is.
