One of my editors is in outline mode, and I wanted to make the rows alternating colors.
I tried this, but it is not working: Scrivener > Preferences > Appearance > Outliner > Outliner uses alternating row colors
I am on a mac (10.15.4) and using Scrivener 3.15. I also tried restarting the Scrivener project and restarting my computer.
Is there another function that I need to turn on another feature or check some other box? I would appreciate your feedback.
A possibility : If you’re using label colors as outline rows, that will override the “alternating colors” setting. Look at View->Use Label Color in… . If “Outline Rows” is checked, select it to turn that off, and see if it makes a difference.
Hope this helps.
That’s the solution. Think you. It looks like you can’t have it both ways (show labels and have alternating color rows).
A little disappointing for sure. As I like things brightly colored, I use contrasty horizontal grid lines so I’m sure where one line ends and the next begins, and let the labels show.
