I collaborate with a writer who isn’t technically minded and I want as little confusion as possible, so I prefer a single color for annotations.
So I make them all dark red.
Then, clicking in them later, they instantly turn to black, or to whatever revision color I’m using at the moment.
Is there a way to make the default color a chosen color and is there a way to get that to stick?
In windows but assume the same or close
The Three methods to change Annotation Colors
1.[ Highlight Annotation] then Right click and choose text color and can change to a default choice or custom option.
The annotation will change color and all future annotations will be this color until you change the color in the future. If you click show colors you will see the same window where you can choose different highlight colors.
To change the current Annotation’s color, you must highlight the whole Annotation and use the method above.
- Highlight annotation then use the dropdown Menu command Format > Color and choose text color will change the color and all future annotations will be that color until you change it. (You will see the above window to choose a new color with or use the big color window to pick a new custom color.) If you highlight the entire Annotation, this method will change the color immediately.
- Highlight annotation and then use Keyboard Menu shortcut Ctrl + Shift + C
Make sure revision mode is off when add annotations. If on revised text (ie added annotations will be colored the revision color)
