I am working with a document page that has 7,000 words. It doesn’t seem to be very large in my opinion. As I type or edit, however, I am finding that Scrivener is bogged down with screen formatting… I suspect for word wrapping.
It is very annoying to not see what I am typing, and it is very difficult to not see what I have deleted and inserted.
I wonder if you couldn’t remedy this by formatting only what is shown on the active screen, and placing the overall wrapping procedure into a background process that doesn’t suspend the keyboard response time.
Even with formatting the active screen, you only need to do so from the cursor position forward to the last line showing on the screen.
I realize that my remedy may not address the actual issue. It is just a stab at a fix for the apparent problem.
