Hello, any help much appreciated!
I purchased the Scrivener 3 app through the Apple App Store in April 2019 and use it on both my MacBook and iPhone.
I would now like to install the app on my Mac. Is this possible?
I have tried to download the app through the App Store on my Mac but it wants to charge me again for it.
I have tried air dropping the app from the MacBook to the Mac and it tries to charge me again.
Do I just need to pay for it twice?
If I have to pay again - and I buy the MacOS version direct from Scrivener - will it still sync up ok with my Apple bought version on MacBook and my iOS version on my iPhone?
iOS apps can only be used on iOS devices, i.e. iPhones and iPads, not on OS X devices like Macs.
Yes, you have to buy iOS apps on the iOS App Store and Mac apps on the Mac App Store or directly from the developers.
Both versions (and the Win version) can read projects from the same Dropbox folder, provided you tell the devices where you have stored the projects.
Thank you! And yes - I recall I had to buy the iOS version separately - sorry for confusing the terms/bits of kit…
I have just managed to sort it all out - it turns out my Apple ID wasn’t properly logged in - now it is - it took 1 click to download the MacOS version onto my MAC.
Very happy bunny!
