[Apple] Mousekeeping

Unlike some, I try not to look for things to whine about.

A dead apple mouse can be charged to work for better than an hour in less than two minutes.

Plug it in, go walk the dog, or go make a sandwich. Then go back to work.

I’ll stick with my trusty Magic Mouse that works just better than anything else I’ve tried, though the MX Anywhere comes a close second. All the other mice out there seem flimsy and like clicking through treacle by comparison.

As I said earlier, the position of the charging port is a non-issue.

I am still using the same MM ever since I purchased my former laptop ELLEVEN years ago. I finally upgraded to an M4 laptop and still use the same MM. I was tempted to purchase a new black one to go with the new black laptop, but I decided not too. I have to change batteries every so often, but not so very often that it’s an annoyance. An I get prompts when the batteries are low on charge. I really like the MM–especially not having a scroll wheel. However, to each their own, which is also very valid.

I like the magic mouse. The only complaint is that the charging port is underneath the mouse, which means you can’t charge it while using it.

As mentioned above, there’s never been a use case for that. There’s multiple warnings of low charge, the ability to charge more than sufficient in a coffee or bathroom break, if you ignore the warnings and fail to do an overnight or lunch break charge.

Some people are just allergic to input devices telling them what to do. :face_with_peeking_eye:

(And it still looks stupid.)

Beauty (or lack of) is in the eye of the beholder. I think it’s truly sleek and sexy :upside_down_face: :upside_down_face:

Apart from that, it works!

It does look good on my desk.

I agree. I still an Apple mouse I bought in 2009 and it works great.

Not sure about the earliest models, but on the later ones (the ones with the charging design flaw) you can use the spine of the MM for two-finger scroll gestures, like a scroll wheel.
