Assigning and/or change the cover image of e-pub

Hello dear,
I struggle for weeks trying to get my books as e-pub readings… and it’s painful to me.
I agree: I am a wysywig freak…
At this stage, I finally got the pages to have the wanted (simple) look.
Things are almost groovy.
But the assigning of a cover is a real nightmare! Really painful, complicated, tortuous, a.s.o.
Whatever I’m trying, it just doesn’t work! The image appears on the cover window… but never on the compilation!
I’m driving completely crazy… to a state of banging my head against the walls (which here are made of stones).

The given explanations in the user’s guide are so unclear…
Please help!

It should be pretty simple. You need to (1) put the cover in the front matter and (2) tell Scriv about that in the compile dialog:

Hope that helps!

Thank you TromboneAI,
It is in fact a more “two or three steps matter” than a one pull and drop… It seems it finally will get to my old brain (without getting crazy, luckily).

P.S. How do you attribut colours to the files?

Cheers

Colors, use Labels and Show labels in binder.
(I don’t remember the exact menu words, but use Help to find it)

This should illustrate it:

Thanks.
