Auto-insert 'Day of Week' into metadata (or other location)

I am using Scrivener 2 for Mac.

I am looking for some way to automatically insert the day of the week (Monday, Tuesday etc.) into a metadata field. At the moment I am entering it manually but I wonder if there is some way to set it up so I don’t have to keep doing this every day.

What about using the Modified: date in the General Metadata?

I forget how that displays in Scriv 2, but in Scriv 3 I can get it to display the day of the week by going into System Preferences | Language & Region | Advanced | Dates and then dragging the Day of week field up into the Medium area.

Yes that worked! Thanks very much.

Changing the Short format alters it in the Inspector for me. And changing the Long format alters it for the Outliner.
