I would reiterate what Kinsey had to say above, these ancient requests were largely answered by adding the feature that takes snapshots on save. Remembering to “save” now and then whenever you feel like a significant amount of work as been done, will now trigger potentially dozens of snapshots throughout the project, wherever you have been working—and it’s easy to remember to save.
And as for clean-up, the Snapshots Manager lets you search by date, or by snapshot name, which is handy since automatic snapshots use a naming scheme.
Since you’re on Windows, it’s worth mentioning these features are available in the public beta for now, so don’t go looking for them yet if you use the stable version.
