So I’m having a weird error when trying to compile for EPUB format.
If I have a scene break (I hit enter twice), I am noticing that the auto-indent is dropping off on the first new paragraph. I tried to upload the picture, but my account is brand new.
Could someone please let me know how to resolve this? Thanks!
Hi.
The simplest fix would be to add a non-breaking space to your empty line. That should resolve it, since that line will no longer be technically empty.
Which would also fix another issue you’d have but still are not aware of : your “scene break” wouldn’t make it to your final epub, as HTML doesn’t allow empty lines. That line that you add by your second carriage return would be automatically deleted.
. . . . . . .
That’s the easy fix, not quite the right way to do it.
Technically you should use space-after, not a double return.

Good news: That’s how it should be!
The indentation is meant for paragraphs following other paragraphs, in all other cases (and in this specific one: a scene break) → flush left.
