In project targets, I set a deadline and turned on the “automatically calculate from draft deadline” option in Session Target. But then the session goal shows up empty.
If I turn “automatically calculate” off, then the session target shows with what it should be as an editable field. So I guess I could go into Settings every day and turn it on, then off again to get my daily goal, but I’d rather not do that.
Am I missing something?

Did you tell the session target calculator what days are writing days?
Yes, I did both of those. I’ve tried to upload screenshots to show it, but Forums won’t let me for some reason. Project targets work fine until I check the “automatically calculate” box.

I’m not certain, but when you zoom into your image the session target field shows a barely discernible numeric value, 3,349. The field does appear to be calculating, just not visible in the font/colour combination. I don’t know if that font/colour can be changed directly. Perhaps try a temporary change to the theme, a lighter theme, to determine if that is indeed the culprit.
The text is there, but has about the same color as the textbox background. In a custom Theme, this text color can likely be altered to something legible.
