Back Up

Can anyone tell me the best way to backup my work? Thanks

As a starter: How to Back Up Your Scrivener Projects

(But I have to disagree: β€œIf you use a Mac, you can use the Time Machine backup feature which is part of macOS.” – Can? No. You absolutely HAVE TO DO IT. On more than one drive. You can thank me later.)

You should do the 1,2,3 backup method. Have a backup on your computer, consider a cloud backup of a zipped project backup, and have an external backup on a USB key or external hard drive. You should also set up Scrivener to automatically close after a set period of inactivity.
I have a series of articles on backing up on my website.

Set up the automatic backups on Scrivener to backup on exit, open which er you like, but also set to the highest number 25. It gives you more options for recovery try from a creeping issue that you don’t notice at first.

If you have a failure, copy all the backups to another folder - reason being as you work to restore from the error the oldest backup in the normal backup folder would be overwritten with whatever your backup setting is.
