Background color ignored by the top and bottom bars

Hi,

On my old iPad I can get the editor’s cream background color the top and bottom bars while in landscape mode.

In portrait mode this doesn’t happen. The bottom bar is sometimes colored, but when scrolling it immediately becomes white.

I would like to avoid these distracting bars overlapping my text.

Just wondering: is this issue caused by the fact that I still use OS 15.8, or it is happening even in more modern devices? Scrivener for iOS shouldn’t have been updated recently, so I guess it happens everywhere.

I’m pretty sure what you are describing is how it’s supposed to work (these are stock toolbars after all). I agree it looks a bit silly and distracting, I commented on it as soon as it started working that way (maybe iOS 7?).
