I purchased an Aeron about 22 years ago. Still “good as new” and a terrific chair. Yes, expensive, but compared to the multiple purchases that would have been required if I had bought chairs from the nearby chain Office Supply Store, a “deal” in both comfort and investment. I’m thinking I’ll have to mention the chair in my will.
I have a different Steelcase chair, the Leap model. I’ve been using it for a few years now, and it’s comfortable and supportive. I don’t have nearly the lower back issues I did before getting it.
I’ve spent two and a half decades sitting in corporate offices with Herman Miller Aeron chairs. They do the job and have all the adjustments etc etc.
A caveat, though… I’ve (thankfully) never had any back issues so the opinion of others may have more weight (or maybe I have, but because of chairs have never noticed?).
That said, if I had to buy one of the two you linked for my home office, I’d probably go for the Steelcase, because who wants their home to look like a consultants / lawyers / accountants office?

I have a first gen SecretLab Titan chair and it’s been great but the Aeron is my dream chair. I wish I had been more patient on the affordability front and saved some more and got one instead. I have never seen these Ariel chairs before though and I am actually intrigued. It looks like it would be perfect for a sit to stand desk.
As I said, I’ve been pretty happy with it. Does what it says, in that the lack of mechanical support encourages the musculo-skeletal system to do what it’s designed to do.
I’ve had an Aeron for 20+ years. It’s been great (and I’ve had lower back problems for all this time). The webbing on the seat finally gave out this year and the recommended solution is to replace the entire seat ($280?)—not chair —which makes sense to me examining how the whole thing fits together. Still that’s some dough. But nothing like what a new Aeron costs! Holy smokes! $2,000!? But you know what? From my experience, I’d buy it again. Or perhaps the Steelcase.
Spend the money to preserve your back, folks. Much cheaper than the alternatives.
