I am finalising a book and proofreaders and editors have started to work on the texts. I have exported all the documents to ,rtf and they are kept on a shared folder. They of course have suggestions, corrections and questions that they ad to the files. So far so good. But I would prefer to bring back these files into Scrivener, where I have all my notes and structure, and make any changes there. Is there any best practice to do this? It works well to just drop the file-modified-by-others into my structure. But is there a way to compare documents and see what changes they have made?
You might consider syncing with an external folder, rather than simply exporting. That will link the synced documents back to their originals in the Binder, allowing you to use the Snapshot feature to compare them.
