Whoah, he lives! They let you out of the cave, LAP?
This is on our roadmap, itās Mac Scrivener 2.0 feature. Windows 8 tablets are also out next year, I believe Nokia are supplying the tablet hardware. Weāll be keeping a close eye on this.
Iām not entirely clear on why or how these issues persist, I posted on this earlier today with a video - Iām not sure if this was useful or if Iāve missed something entirely?

Paulo, I thought I told you stand in the corner and be quiet?
Seriously, Iāve added the missing shortcuts to Split at Selection and Split at Selection with Title; however, once split, the text before the split remains which is not the way the normal editor works. So, weāll need to add the next and previous document behavior as this is not in context for fullscreen by default - it basically has current editor focus only i.e. not the context of the project. Iām fiddling with it now. There is another shortcut Ctrl+Alt+5 which youāre probably aware of that brings up the goto menu that can be navigated with the arrow keys. Not as good as Prev and Next doc shortcuts - which are pretty damn handy once your familiar with them.

but never gives up
Seriously though, thank you for fiddling with it. This is music to my ears; I can stay quiet in my corner while I listen to music!
Love this! I just noticed that the manual gives the shortcut key for project statistics as shift-control-T (which doesnāt work) but in the menu it shows as control+. (which does work).
Are the limited e-book compile formatting options in the current beta going to carry directly over to version 1? If so, when do you anticipate the more robust formatting options supported by the Mac version to be supported?
Iām specifically interested in being able to remove the TOC from a Mobi compilation. Not really appropriate for novels.
Thanks
Yep, that seems to have fixed it, thanks.
Hi,
Odd formatting issue with copy and paste from web pages. Large chunks of copied test sometimes show up as underlined Courier, whatever the original formatting. As a fix, Iāve been copying such chunks into Evernote and then copy/pasting them from there into Scrivener, where they come out precisely as they are in Evernote.
Odd, also unwieldy.
If this is a known issue, sorry for the repetition. I couldnāt find it listed on the forum.

What browser are you copying from? Do you have an example website I could use to repeat this for Lee?

e-book formatting was never on the cards for 1.0, likewise for collections. We implemented the foundation for each, as there was a large demand for these things. I donāt have a crystal ball as to exactly when, but Iād say sometime in 2012 they will be included in an update.
My priority after launch will be to get Final Draft import/export in. Then we need to do some serious surgery on the the way documents and layouts are entwined and separate them. Lotās of necessary things will fall out of this, such as huge performance gains which are not currently possible with the current architecture with each document having a layout, rather than layouts having many documents - I have no idea why the Qt C++ folks implemented their text model this way, but itās painfull as many many elements are forced to be re-drawn with every keystroke. So, weāll be fixing that as a priority, then we should have Word like performance for large text documents and also have a true Scrivening modes where one can select text across document boundaries, a lots of other good stuff.
Then will be working our way towards Mac 2.0 specifications in a prioritized order where I imagine e-books being up near the top somewhere.

Iām running beta 035. Never got or heard of 045. Can I install 046 right over 035?
I dumped 035 in itās entirety before installing 046. I did miss 045 somehow, as 035 hadnāt expired yet. Iāve had a little bit to play with 0.46 now, and not knowing the Mac versions or itās shortcuts of handiness, I have no major bugs to report.
At this point, itās looking like the only thing thatās you have left to do is look into feature addons. Iāll be stress-testing it tomorrow when I get home, and all weekend. If it can be crashed, weāll know soon. If Iām going to use it for NaNoWriMo, I want it prove itās rock-solid
Firefox 7.0.1, also with Chrome 14.0.835.202 m.

Also happens with drag and drop. Sometimes the font goes to Courier, sometimes not.
Windows 7, btw, if that matters.

Wait, I have the Nano trial version. Is this the same as beta 046?

Nano Version is 045.
Am brand new to Scrivener and have the latest version, but I didnāt notice any of the things I saw in other posts so here goes (forgive me if I sound like an idiot and/or these thigns have already been addressed):
I started with the tutorial and noticed that I didnāt get a popup when it has you switch to the screenwriting to show the different formats. It did show up in the bottom right corner and eventually popped out, so nothing major there. But by the time I got to the Inspector I noticed that not only was the fullscreen not going away with ESC, but the icon toolbar was not present at all. I had to open up a new project just to figure that one out. The only way I could pull up the Inspector was through the icon in fullscreen mode.
So in the tutorial, I have the regular toolbar (File --> Help) and then it jumps down to the Header Bar. When I open a new project, there is also the icon toolbar (which has the Inspector on the right, thankfully) and beneath that the font toolbar.
I havenāt made it much further than that because when I tried to get out of the fullscreen mode again it froze and then crashed on me. Seems to be working okay now though, so hopefully I can finish up this tutorial soon and get to work on my new project!
Where can I download the Linux beta? I didnāt see a link in this thread.
Thanks!

Thanks!
It used to be at http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivenerforwindows/ but that page has been removed. If there is a current Linux download, Iāve not yet found it. ![]()
Once before there was a lag between beta expiration and a working Linux version, I hope this isnāt a repeat of that mistake. Whatever the case, expecting some sort of note from LiteratureAndLatte doesnāt seem unreasonable to me, but maybe things appear differently from behind a Windowā¢. ![]()
Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. Working on this. Iāll post news when Iāve got it.
