Binder-import of Word documents takes ages

Hi

In the latest version of Scrivener (2.7, Mac), the import (in Binder) and export (Compile) of Word documents takes ages – even with documents that have very little text inside. This is a terrible setback and hampers productivity. Please fix.

How large are the Word documents? Do they have a lot of images and/or complex formatting?

I’m using 2.7 for Mac. I haven’t imported anything for months, but I have recently compiled a 104,000 word novel to both DOCX and PDF with no problem. It didn’t take longer than I recall it taking with the prior version.
