I type only the following text: “the cat sat on top of the mat”
I then highlight/select the entire text and go to the drop down menu for “Regular,” “Oblique,” “Bold,” and “Bold Oblique.”
If I click on “Bold,” the text turns oblique and the above box reads “Oblique.” If I click on “Bold” again, the text stays oblique but the box now reads “Bold.”
If I click on “Oblique” (after the text is oblique from following the above steps, or from being regular), the text turns bold and the above box reads “Bold.” If I click on “Oblique” again, the text stays bold but the box now reads “Oblique.”
If I click on “Bold Oblique,” the text does what it is supposed to.
If I make the last 3 words bold, oblique, or bold oblique and then highlight/select (right-to-left) the entire text, the box reads “Regular.” If I click “Regular,” the text does not change. If I highlight/select (left-to-right this time) the entire text, the box reads whatever format the last three words are in. If I then click on “Regular,” the text returns to regular format.
