I’d right-click on the text in Scrivener and see if there is an option to remove tables. If so, try using it (though you might want to take a snapshot of the document first, in case the table does some important layout).
Thanks for that Loa. I had tried that and it didn’t work. The frame remained.
What did work overnight was to copy the text into Pages which displayed a Table (no idea how that got in there) which I deleted then copied back to the same page with contents deleted - didn’t work as table reappeared. Pasting it into a new blank page fixed it.
Side note, Pages is highly underrated.
