Bug in substitutions

Substitutions that start with and alphanumeric don’t work at the beginning of a line.
So (c) works, but 1/2 doesn’t.
Add a space at the beginning of the line and the work fine.
Strange.

I’ve tried to reproduce this and haven’t had any luck. Here is what I tried:

  1. Went into File ▸ Options..., under Corrections.
  2. Turned on Enabled additional substitutions.
  3. Clicked the Edit Substitutions... button.
  4. Added an entry for (c) to convert to the symbol.
  5. Added an entry for 1/2 to convert to the symbol.
  6. Ticked the example entry for 1st to convert to
  7. Clicked OK to close and save the substitution changes.
  8. Clicked OK to save options.
  9. Created a new blank text item for testing.
  10. On the first line I type (c) and press Return. I get the symbol.
  11. On the second line, 1/2 and press Return. I get the symbol.
  12. On the third line, 1st and press Return. I get the ordinal.

Could you describe how you are getting different results?
