When you close a project (select “close project” on the file menu) it closes the whole application. Relaunches fine, but should remain in memory if only closing a project. This is reproducible.

You can change this behavior by going into Edit>Options and ticking the box under the General tab to have the start panel always show if no projects are open. With this checked, closing your last project window won’t close the program but will bring up the start panel.
