Buttons for screenplay styles on ipad

I accept that Scrivener isn’t intended to be Final Draft, but it’s much more convenient to have early-draft scripts in the same program as my notes and research and export to FD later. Plus I work on my iPad most of the time (a 13” so practically a laptop). Given than, I find buttons easier than a pull-down list for the style elements.

As for where to locate it, I can think of 3 options, in order of preference (anything is better than a dropdown menu in this case):

  1. At the top where the dropdown list currently appears
  2. Bottom of screen OR a separate group at the top of the on-screen keyboard (the on-screen keyboard hides the tools currently at the bottom of the screen, but when I use a detached keyboard that may be a viable option)
  3. A separate inspector that stays open at the left (or right) until I close it

I don’t know if floating palettes are possible on iOS but if they are, that would be my #1 choice. I can see where the list option is more practical on a phone (I wouldn’t use a phone anyway) but on a larger screen it feels tedious.

Again, this is for the iPad. I don’t currently own the desktop version of Scrivener and don’t even know how scripting styles work there.
