Hi to the kind souls using the Mac verison of Scrivener! Would u please kindly zip up a blank APA project template? I’m using a window version and there is no APA format. I need it to write my thesis.
Thank you so much for your help!
Perhaps someone will, but just so you know, that wouldn’t really help you out much. The Mac template will of course have Mac compile settings, which don’t carry over to Windows, and that’s the bulk of what you’re looking for I suspect. Meanwhile the reason we don’t provide a template ourselves is because conforming to the specification requires compile features that don’t exist in the current stable version.
So really, all you’d be getting is a few example binder items not too different from any of the other non-fiction starter binders, and a help file that doesn’t help.
Hi AmberV! Thank you for your reply! I hear you. I managed to open a Mac project template so I thought that it is possible to use Mac template with some adjustment.
Can you help me out by saving a blank APA template as a project and then email to my gmail address: focus16hours@ g m a i l. com
Noted that the template needs to be save as a project so that it will include other files I.e., files, icons, settings, and snapshots) to open the template.
Thank you so much for your help!
Right, it’s not so much a matter of it not being possible to use a template made for the Mac, to be clear. It is that specifically with the formatting requirements of the APA style guide, you will not be able to compile an APA document. There is thus nothing in that template that would help you out that you cannot already get from something like the general non-fiction template.
