When I went to choose an output compile form for my manuscript I was not offered the choice of eBook format. Doesn’t the Windows version support this???

Not at the present time. Compiling to ebook formats is a Mac 2.0 feature. For Windows 1.0 the developers are focusing on Mac 1.x features.
The good news is that compiling ebook formats has a high priority after Windows 1.0 is released for purchase.
In short, it’s coming but won’t be here just yet.
in the mean time you can complie in txt, rtf, or pdf formats and convert using calibre.
