I’m inquiring if MacOS Scrivener will still be useable without Internet? I know to sync to dropbox it needs Internet but if you use the program away from the Internet…when you reconnect to the Internet will your process update/save automatically?
Scrivener requires internet access for initial activation, and periodically to confirm that your license is still valid. It can also be configured to check for updates automatically.
It does not store your data on the internet and does not require internet access for any functionality. (Other than web-based research materials, of course.)
Dropbox specifically is third-party software. From Scrivener’s point of view, the Dropbox folder is just another location on your local hard drive.
