Cannot Open Document

Hello, I just changed from a Macbook Pro to an Air and I am having trouble when opening any documents. When I try to open my current project it says, that "The project at “/Users/tiffanyjoissin/Dropbox/Apps/Scrivener/Dreams of Ivy (Draft 2) .scriv” seems to be of an older format, but no binder.scrivproj file could be found inside it. It may be missing or corrupt, possibly because of a problem with the device on which it is stored, or because of a synchronisation problem.

Try ctrl-clicking on the project in the Finder and selecting “Show Package Contents”, then look for a file entitled ‘binder.scrivproj’. Ensure it has not been renamed by a backup routine. If it does not exist, try restoring from a backup."
I am updating my computer right now, but does anyone have any solutions for this?

First of all, search the forum for “but no binder.scrivproj file could be found inside it”. You will find a plethora of threads, as there are many reasons for why that could occur, but the most common recent one is bad Dropbox settings, as discussed here.

If nothing matches, let us know in what ways.

Thank you found out I just needed to make the document available online

No. You need to make the Dropbox files “OFFLINE”, e.g. all of them on your local drive.
